Free Insurance Verification for SoCal Addiction Treatment

Verifying your insurance benefits before choosing a treatment facility tells you three things that change the decision: which Southern California facilities are in-network for your specific plan, what your out-of-pocket cost will realistically be (deductible, coinsurance, copay), and whether your plan requires pre-authorization for the level of care you need. Submitting the form below does not commit you to any facility or any treatment decision — it's information-gathering, not enrollment.

Most major NJ carriers

Horizon BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, AmeriHealth, NJ FamilyCare, and Tricare. Other carriers covered too — pick "Other" in the form.

Typically 15–30 minutes

Verification usually takes 15 to 30 minutes once a specialist has your information and can reach your carrier.

What happens after you submit

  1. We receive your form. You'll see an on-screen confirmation; no email is sent to you automatically at this stage (the call is the follow-up).
  2. A benefits specialist calls you at your preferred time. Morning, afternoon, evening, or "as soon as possible" — whichever you chose. If we can't reach you on the first try, we'll leave a voicemail and a follow-up text.
  3. We verify coverage with your insurance carrier. This typically takes 15–30 minutes. We confirm your plan's SUD benefits, deductible and coinsurance, in-network vs out-of-network distinction, and pre-authorization requirements.
  4. We walk you through your options. Which NJ facilities are in-network for your plan, what your out-of-pocket will likely be, and the clinical fit of each option. No pressure, no commitment — the call ends when your questions are answered.

What if I don't have insurance?

Uninsured and underinsured Southern California residents have real pathways to treatment — they're just not always obvious. Our free and state-funded treatment page walks through the six distinct pathways in Southern California: NJ FamilyCare (Medicaid) enrollment, NJ DMHAS state-funded treatment slots, the CARES program, Oxford House recovery housing, SAMHSA federal grant-funded programs, and sliding-scale providers. Our insurance and cost section covers how treatment is typically priced and what questions to ask a facility's billing office when you don't have a carrier to call.

You can also still submit the form above — choose "I'm not sure" for carrier, and the specialist will route the conversation toward the coverage pathways most likely to work for your situation.
